Thank you to all of you who took part in the friendly matches. We won 8 and lost 5 over the season.
As you know, a Club like ours cannot thrive without out the help from it’s members so the following deserve a big thank you;
It has been a pleasure to work alongside Mike as his enthusiasm and commitment to our Club is infectious so I would like to thank him for everything that he has done for us over the years. To Ali for her excellent admin skills in providing the meeting minutes and dealing with the County. To Wendy for doing a great job juggling the fixtures and dealing so well with the other Clubs and to Kelly for overseeing both the internal leagues and competitions. I would like to thank Mari for the timely manner in which she has produced the monthly invoices and Debbie for supporting Mari. Also a thanks to our President, Chris Holmes who has been dealing with the finances over the last month. Thanks also to Paul for his assistance with the leagues and competitions in the first part of the season and to Marree and Dave Marden for their help with the Friday roll ups.
As well as those mentioned above, thanks also go to the following; To the drivers who took us to the away fixtures. To everyone who has helped with the refreshments and especially Barbara who has ensured that we are always stocked up with chocolate biscuits. To our bar staff for also turning out on a Wednesday evening. To John who ensured that we had lights and heat through the season. Thank you also to those administrators on match days for demonstrating their skill in hoovering the mats!
I hope that I have covered everyone who in their own way, has contributed to a successful short mat season.
That concludes our internal activities for this season as our thoughts now turn to being outdoors under warm sunshine.
Don’t forget that we have the Club Open Evening on the 19th of this month.
We are also holding an Open Day on the 28th May. This is an opportunity for anyone to come along and see what we have to offer as a Club, both indoors and on the green So if you know of anyone who may be interested, please get them to come along. More information will follow about this event.
