Horsham Bowling Club has a long established history having been in the town for more than a hundred years. We are a friendly club with bowlers of all standard and are located in Holbrook, just north of Horsham centre, with our own private parking.
We are affiliated to Bowls England and to Sussex County Bowls. Our playing season starts at the end of April and finishes at the end of September. We play approximately 70 friendly matches (mixed, ladies and men’s) against other clubs. Key fixtures include the home and away matches against Worthing Pavilion (men) for the Friendship Cup and Marine Gardens Worthing (mixed) for the Centenary Bowl. We also play Horsham Park for the Town Challenge Trophy. The ladies play in the Nellie Mercer League and the men play in the Surrey/Sussex Border League. Our busy bowling schedule includes Fun Days for all the family and coaching sessions run by our qualified coaches, as well as internal competitions. Both men and ladies participate individually in County Competitions and also represent the Club in County Club Competitions.
Apart from our own matches we play host to a number of County Matches and we also entertain visiting Touring clubs.
We are always happy to meet new bowlers and would encourage anyone thinking about taking up the game of bowls or short mat bowls, and considering joining our club to contact us at info@horsham-bowling-club.co.uk and we will arrange for you to meet up with the men’s/ladies secretary who can talk to you, and arrange a visit to the club.
