Do I have to buy all my equipment before I start playing?
No. The only thing you need to buy is a pair of regulation bowling shoes.
There are sets of bowls at the club for members to borrow until they decide to buy their own. Club members will happily help you in your decision.
Do I have to pay each time I play?
Outdoor Bowling - No. You only pay when you play in a Club Match.
Short Mat Bowling - A Small charge is made each time you play. This helps towards the heating and lighting of the club during the winter months.
Is there somebody who can teach me to play?
Yes, we have qualified coaches who can help you.
When is the green open?
Subject to weather conditions and green maintenance, the green is open from 11.00 a.m. weekdays and 10.30 a.m. weekends. Check the chalk board at the side of the clubhouse door for information regarding green conditions.

The Short Mat Season runs from 1st October to 31st March.
When can I play in matches?
Whenever you want to. When you feel confident enough to put yourself forward for selection you can add your name to the Match Selection Sheets. Playing in matches is a very good way of learning the etiquette of the game and helps to improve your play.
Do I have to book a rink for a roll-up?
Yes, this can be done remotely from home using the club’s computerised BowlR system.
